Ayurveda, the holistic healing system of life and longevity, is one of the oldest healing systems on earth.The combination word Ayurveda precisely means the knowledge of life or longevity.ayurveda  is the oldest and continually practiced medicine in the world dating from 5000 BC – before dating back to the Vedic and Buddhist times. First written work on Ayurveda – The Samhitha Charaka is Sanskrit language and dates back to the third century BC. This text, believed written by a number of scholars wandering has 8 sections with 120 chapters that explain the basics and fundamental rules of the practice of Ayurveda.
The second important piece of Ayurveda ,The Susrutha Samhitha written in 1000 BC, delves deeply into the scientific evidence for complex surgical procedures. The author, Susrutha, is now widely known as the “father of surgery” The basic guidelines and procedures established by him are considered significant, even today.
Ayurveda, unlike their counterparts, promotes a holistic approach to the welfare of concentrating the mind, body and soul. Not a quick fix method, but one that promotes a balanced and healthy life – seeking a balance between the mental, spiritual, physical and social human being. Today, Ayurveda is widely gaining popularity in the West as an alternative form of medicine. It has evolved into a more organized and professional medical treatments performed by certified professionals after five and a half years of intense training.
A variety of treatments ranging from anti-stress-aging, slimming and rejuvenating Ayurveda in Kerala generally available to choose from. Programs can range from a couple of days that span more than one month. A typical program complete cycle can begin with a detox session preparing the body to respond better to treatment. The main session would include a series of minor procedures with the goal of every aspect of body, mind and soul.
